Terms of rent are:

  • 6-month lease agreement

Working Artists Studios & Arts Business Incubator seeks community oriented, art producing, exhibit/event/performance hungry, ready to break out of the box, we can make it happen cuz we deserve it and the world is ready for us, Artists - in paint, photography, fibre, ceramics/clay, written word, collage, 2D, small 3D, film, digital media, performance or creative professional in graphic design, illustration, web development, copywriting, etc.

We have five spaces available:
THE CORNER OFFICE, approx. 162 sf PRIVATE studio with air conditioner, 3rd floor - looks into the NW Industrial area and the West Hills, overlooks the railroad, western and southern exposure. $265/month + $100 for utilities/services.*
 
STUDIO 302-B, approx. 140 sf studio, 3rd floor - looks into the NW Industrial area and the West Hills, overlooks the railroad, southern exposure. $245/month + $100 for utilities/services.


 
MORNING SUN STUDIO, approx. 400 sf, - best painting studio in the place, and has been an amazing office space for a small creative company as well. Already wired for phones. $495/month + $100 for utilities/services.*

THE VAULT, 220 sf private studio (has steel vault door with lock), 3rd floor studio. Was occupied by a digital art photographer the past 2 years - he loved it. PLEASE NOTE: if you are claustrophobic, this is NOT the space for you. ;-) ] $325/month + $100 for utilities/services.*

BONUS: All rents include a FULL MEMBERSHIP to the Working Artists Network (access to reasonable health care plans, discounts at office and supply stores, discounts on professional development training, and more).

*SERVICES: electricity, natural gas, garbage, recycling, internet, drinking water, liability insurance, maintenance. Access to the space 24/7 – parking included.
           
The overall focus of our group is to create a sustainable living as a working artist, with a large component of that about contributing to the community through the arts. SAMPLING OF UPCOMING EVENTS

AUGUST 2008: WAG’s FIRE SALE. It’s time to clean out your studio and make room for your new work. Everything in this exhibit is $100 or less and is priced to sell – right off the walls! Artist are also welcome to go through our FOUND OBJECT BIN – rife with old computer parts, telephones, found objects, and more.

SEP/OCT 2008: EVOLUTIONARY TIPPING POINTS - 20,000 sq. ft. Exhibition/Performance at Olympic Mills in SE Portland. The theme is evolution from oppositional perspectives with focus on technology, spirituality, green practices incorporating reuse/recycle/renew, society, etc.

Opportunities include: curation, visual art exhibit (2D and 3D), performance, film screening, sound art, installation and any other artistic expression appropriate for the exhibit theme.
